Location and Contact Details
Semi-private English courses
Semi-private English
groups start in July. These are weekly
lessons for up to 3 students and focus strongly on speaking skills. Lessons
are 45 minutes shorter if only one student enrols on the course. Courses run for five weeks and cost £490 per
student.
Intermediate - Berlitz Level 5
- 17:00 to 20:45 every Tuesday evening
from 10th July to 7th August (17:00 - 20:00 if only one student enrols)
- Review and
improve major tenses: present tenses, simple past, past continuous, present
perfect and present perfect continuous
- Themes and functions include small talk and
making contacts, travel, making and requesting recommendations, eating out,
careers, and celebrations in social and business situations
Upper Intermediate - Berlitz Level 6
- 14:00 to 17:45
every Friday afternoon from 7th July to 4th August (14:00 - 17:00 if only one student enrols)
- Language points
include modal verbs (should, ought to, be able to etc) relative clauses,
passive voice, past perfect (simple & progressive)
- Themes and
functions include invitations and small talk, entertainment, travel experiences
and complaining, new technology and product features and major life events
Advanced - Berlitz Level 7
- 17:00 to 20:45 every Wednesday evening from 1st to 29th July (17:00 - 20:00 if only one student enrols)
- Language points include
modals of probability (active and passive voices), gerunds and infinitives,
phrasal verbs, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd
conditionals and
improve major tenses: present tenses, simple past, past continuous, present
perfect and present perfect continuous
- Themes
and functions include work and management
styles, the economy and restructuring, customer service, festivals,
weather and
travel

if you are interested in joining a course. If you would like to
join a semi-private course at a different level or time, please let us
know because we may be able to start a new group for you.
Private English courses
One-to-one English lessons are available 9:00 -
20:00 Monday to Friday and sometimes on
Saturday mornings. Lesson times are very flexible.
Lessons can be one-to-one or shared by two or more friends or colleagues.
General and Business English is available and also special
courses, for example pronunciation, Social English, English for Technology,
Tourism or Law.
Courses include very intensive Total
Immersion courses and occasional day or evening classes - please

Beginners small-group courses will start on 15th and 16th July 2009.

Elementary Level
- Places may be available on higher level courses for French and
Spanish, as our beginners groups from last term are continuing for
another 10 weeks. Please contact as soon as possible for details.
Other languages
Berlitz Birmingham offers Private and in-company
courses in a variety
of languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish,
Polish, Russian, Mandarin Chinese,
Dutch, Greek and Arabic.
Course content can be business or general language and materials
from your own workplace can be included to cover specialist vocabulary
or e-mail writing, for example.
More unusual languages may also be available and we
can arrange courses at any Berlitz Language Centre in over 70
countries in
a wide variety of languages. Please tell us what you need

Combined UK and overseas training
Why not combine
your in-company Berlitz language training or lessons at our central Birmingham Language
Centre with a course in a country where your target language is spoken?

The Berlitz Language Centre is in Paradise Forum next
to Birmingham Central Library and near to Centenary and Victoria Squares and
the Town Hall . It is a 5-10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street or Snow
Hill stations and various city centre bus stops. Please contact us for a
